Just reminding everyone to be at Walters on Washington tonight for the Hollywood Black EP release show w/ Female Demand and The Ride Home; $10 door = FREE EP and FREE beer, as well as amazing live music! They will also be announcing the date for their upcoming Cactus Music in-store performance tonight, so listen up!

The HB guys will be on KPFT at 2:00 today so tune in to hear their interview if you can! You can listen online at www.KPFT.org

Hollywood Black CD release show!

Well, the Hollywood Black EP is finally done! The release show is August 27th at Walters on Washington and we hope that you all can make it out! Opening will be The Ride Home and Female Demand. $10 at the door gets you a FREE CD, free draft beer while it lasts, and some amazing live music… what more could you want?? The Hollywood Black guys will also be announcing at their show the date for their in store performance at Cactus Music, coming soon!

Hey everyone! As you can see we are in the process of revamping our website, so in the meantime if you need to purchase an album- you may visit the old site by clicking on the link to it on the right hand side of our home page, or by clicking on the above link.

We have opened up a Mia Kat Handmade Etsy store, (which is more of Amanda’s ballpark than mine) in which she will soon begin showcasing her own handmade goods for now, and will eventually be putting together a Mia Kat Handmade Craft Circle! Kapow! Bam! Zap!

Kapow! You know sometimes you just have start things off with a bang. Here’s three for you.

BAM! – So Buxton has released their first 7″ entitled “Flint/Feathers”. The pressing was limited to 500 copies on yellow vinyl. They had an amazing record release show at Mango’s and everyone who came got a FREE copy of the 7″. MKE would like to thank everyone who attended for their support.

Zap! – We are also pleased to announce the long-awaited Mia Kat Empire Compilation vol. 2 CD is finally here! Here’s a list of all the bands on the comp.

These were pressed exclusively for the Free Press Summer Fest this Saturday and Sunday, August 8th & 9th, but who knows, we may have a few left over… but you have to ask us. 500 of these were pressed and we are passing them out for FREE at the concert. Buxton is playing this show, so we know you’ll already be there anyway.

Blerghskabble! – And in other news, Hollywood Black is currently in the studio recording a new EP with a new drummer! We welcome Anthony Schillaci to the ranks of HB. Check out Hollywood Black’s myspace for a sneak peek at one of the new tracks off the EP. They are also looking forward to releasing a couple 7″ singles and B-Sides down the road, so stay tuned in to these guys.
