about Mia Kat Empire
The Mia Kat Empire is an independent record label / art, music and sustainability collective from Southeast, TX.
We have no parent companies! We are about those artists who move us and, through whatever medium they choose, create art sonically or visually on their own terms. We try as hard as we can to step aside and allow the artists true creative control of their work and then work tirelessly to gain recognition of it outside of this small group of friends and colleagues. We wholeheartedly strive to create a local art and music culture in this area.
We also work tirelessly to promote an alternative, independent lifestyle by emphasizing support of local economies to help decentralize wealth that would otherwise be allocated to large corporations, and encourage individuals to live independently through their own DIY ethic. We do this through the support of local artisans, local musicians and local food producers.
There are several programs and ways that YOU can be involved! These programs include the "Mia Kat Art Collective", "Mia Kat Handmade", and "Please Remain Seeded."
